About

Reinvent yourself, lighten your load, learn again.

This blog was born from that journey.

Vivre Librement — a path toward more meaning, simplicity and freedom

  • Background: entrepreneurship, construction, renovation and property improvement.
  • My driving force: living more freely, not “working more”.
  • After 25 years of building with my own hands, I am choosing a new kind of independence: travelling differently, learning useful skills and sharing the journey.

Going further

The last thirty years have given me a rich and fascinating life.
In search of greater independence, I explored forms of entrepreneurship that differed from the conventional model — fixed structures, overheads and the endless race to keep up.
I quickly understood that what truly drove me lay elsewhere: living more freely and more simply.

A small inheritance allowed me to buy a plot of land in the Dordogne, surrounded by nature. I built my first wooden house there… without knowing anything about construction.

I had never built anything before. I learned by doing: first a small cabin to practise, then the house, board by board.

I learned as I went — through mistakes, successes and the deep satisfaction of creating something real and tangible.

One thing led to another, and I began working in construction, renovation and property improvement.
It became a school of patience, experience and independence.

Today, that chapter is complete. I still love making things with my hands, but I need to broaden the horizon: to learn, travel differently, explore a simpler and more independent life, and discover other ways of living.

ON THE ROAD!

Here, I share my discoveries, what I learn and the reflections that emerge along the way.
If you also feel the need to slow down, learn differently or live more freely, welcome.
